Privacy Policy — Spells

This Privacy Policy explains how the Spells app (“the App”, “we”, “us”), developed by Pietro Donelli, handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Summary

Spells is a Dungeons & Dragons spell reference and character helper. It does not require an account or sign-in. The characters, spells, and settings you create are stored only on your device. The only information that leaves your device is what is strictly needed to process and manage in-app purchases.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require registration or a user account.
• We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos library, or location.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
• Your characters, learned and prepared spells, spell slots, custom (homebrew) spells, and any images you add to them are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or synced to any server.

In-app purchases (subscriptions)

The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (“Pro”). Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. To validate purchases and keep Pro features unlocked across reinstalls and devices, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription infrastructure provider.

In connection with a purchase or a “restore purchases” action, RevenueCat may process:

• a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier;
• purchase and subscription status (for example, which product was purchased and its renewal or expiration date);
• device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, country or region, and IP address.

This data is used solely to validate purchases, manage your subscription entitlement, and provide customer support. We do not receive your Apple ID, your name, or your payment card details — Apple handles all payment.

How we use information

We use the limited purchase data described above only to verify and restore your purchases, keep your Pro features unlocked, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Data sharing

We share purchase-related data only with the providers that make the purchase work: Apple (payment) and RevenueCat (subscription management). We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention and your choices

• Local data (characters, custom spells, images) remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
• Purchase records held by RevenueCat are retained for as long as needed to manage subscriptions. You may request access to or deletion of data associated with your anonymous identifier by contacting us; note that some records must be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for legal and accounting purposes.

Children’s privacy

The App is a reference tool intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
